For more than thirteen years, Galia Gichon has been helping consumers and professionals understand the world of finance and wise personal money management. In the late 1990's, Ms. Gichon sold exclusive financial conferences to senior executives of top investment managers in the US and Europe, for Institutional Investor. Previously, she spent six years writing financial research for top investment banks Bear Stearns and Nomura Securities. Ms. Gichon earned an MBA in Finance from Fordham University. Galia launched Down-to-Earth Finance to demystify personal finance, money management and investing for individuals—particularly women—who have found money matters baffling and intimidating. She presents seminars and does one-on-one consultations that help people get closer to theirfinancial goals by creating spending and savings plans, phasing out debt and mapping realistic investment strategies.
